The shale resource experts at Virtual Energy have partnered with Eastland Energy, a long-time Ohio oil producer, to form the Eastland Energy Utica Group (EEUG), which covers Coschocton/Guernsey/Muskingum/Noble/Morgan Counties (see map below).
Why should you join our Utica landowner group? Because we are energy professionals, with years of experience developing shale projects for large energy companies. We understand what energy companies want, and how they operate. We have extensive contacts within those companies. No attorney or landowner-managed group can match that. Attorney-run groups will charge you 7.5% or more, just to help you with your lease. They understand little else about the oil & gas under your property, or the energy companies who are your buyers. In contrast, we provide a full-spectrum service that other groups cannot match, such as:
- Analysis of the Utica Shale geology under your lease, which we use to market your property
- Providing you a customized estimate of the revenue potential of your lease
- Monitoring leasing & drilling activity surrounding your lease, and updating you regularly
- Marketing your property directly to the land departments of major energy companies
- Keeping updated digital maps of all group leases, which can be shared with oil companies instantly
- Giving you valuable, legally sound advice on your lease, based on decades of experience
Our fee for all this service is 3% of your bonus payment, nothing more. In addition, both Virtual Energy and Eastland are Ohio companies, run by Ohioans. Though we are energy professionals, we are working for our group landowners. We manage their properties as if they were our own.
The EEUG is now seeking individual tracts of at least 20 acres, or neighborhood groups who can put together >50 acres. If your property meets those qualifications, we invite you to join us. Please tell us about your property by clicking here. You can see a copy of our agreement here. To join, simply fill out the agreement, and scan/email it back to info@virtualenergyteams.com or mail it to: Eastland Energy, P.O. Box 1076, Cambridge, Ohio, 43725.
Next EEUG meetings: Sunday, March 4th
EEUG members, please be advised that our next landowner meetings will be held on Sunday, March 4th, 2012. The first meeting will begin at 1PM, at the Rogers Auction Barn, 7255 Knicely Rd., Adamsville, Ohio. The second meeting is at 5PM, at the Coshocton Village Inn & Suites, 115 N. Water St., Coshocton, Ohio. Please join us and bring any interested neighbors or friends.
EEUG Update, 2/6/2012: Hello to all our EEUG members, we are grateful for the trust you have placed in us, as we strive to secure you your best possible lease. The map below shows an update of our acreage count & location. We now have 6000 acres signed up, which would accomodate approximately 37 horizontal well locations for an oil & gas operator. This would be a significant project, particularly for small to medium-sized drillers new to the Utica oil play. The collapse in natural gas prices is rapidly driving energy investment into oil, and our group is perfectly positioned to benefit from that. We are seeing a lot of interest in our acreage from smaller drillers and private equity investment groups, who could make a nice project out of the EEUG acreage. We are also starting to get interest from the larger operators, and as we grow, that interest will only increase, provided drilling results continue to be positive.
A few important dates are coming up. In a few weeks, we will be promoting EEUG acreage at the Ohio Oil & Gas Association convention in Columbus. This is sure to be a well-attended convention, with many energy companies who are not currently in the Utica. These companies are prime targets for our group, because they are more likely to pay top $, rather than the established operators, who have more options. Finally, in March, all Ohio producers are required to report production for the prior year. There should be a few Utica oil-fairway wells in that report, in Guernsey and perhaps Noble County. If the results are good, our acreage value will rise substantially, so we advise members to resist the urge to take any offers at this time, we believe the best is yet to come.
